Immigration: The question of integration in a fundamentally new context
By Gérard-François Dumont
English
Any immigration raises cultural and social issues that raise the question of integration. The latter must first be analyzed in its quantitative dimension at the global and sub-planetary scales. Its qualitative dimension is reflected in the countries by policies of segregation or, conversely, integration. But since the end of the twentieth century, the nature of the question of integration has been in a fundamentally changed context. It is in this totally new context that we must think about the ways of cultural and social integration
