What spatial planning? Faced with the challenges of sustainable development, decentralisation and globalisation

The evolution of French territories is particularly concerned in the 21st century by three issues: sustainable development, decentralisation and globalisation. This analysis consists in deciphering the nature of these issues for the territories in order to define the main lines of a spatial planning policy serving the common good.
