“Global South”, BRICS+. Two really geopolitical notions?

The notion of “Global South” recently met a rapid international success, as if it was a fundamental shift and a new geopolitical paradigm, in the triple context of the Ukraine war, the rapprochement between Russia and China and the new perspective for the enlarged BRICS. But how it is inserted in the past contestation of the American hegemony and the anti-Western mobilization? Is it a simple ideological slogan or is it really a new concept? Could it generate new kinds of multipolarities?
